In the camera’s settings, set the USB connection mode to “PC Remote”.

Next, connect the camera to your device with a cable, and turn on the camera. The cable has to support data transfer, for Honcho to get the photos from the camera.

We recommend shooting RAW + JPEG. Honcho only uses the JPEG files and doesn’t process RAW files, which you can keep for post processing.

In addition, set “Still Img. Save Dest.” to “PC+Camera”. That way, the files saved to the SD card and transferred to Honcho at the same time.

Warning: If “Still Img. Save Dest.” is set to “PC Only”, the files will not be saved to the SD card.

Unfortunately, the following cameras do not have the option for “PC+Camera”—A7/A7 II + A7R/A7R II + A7S/A7S II. Hence, the files will not be saved to the SD card.
