Tether With an iPhone

With Honcho, you can tether your camera with an iPhone, and upload photos from camera to cloud.

Start by connecting the camera to your iPhone with a cable.

We recommend using a USB-A cable and an adaptor to convert from USB-A to Lightning, for iPhone 14 and earlier models. Multiple users have encountered issues with Lightning cables and are unable to get a connection.

iPhone 15 and later models can work with USB-C cables.

The mobile app will automatically detect your camera when it’s connected, and you’ll see it in the camera toolbar.

You’re ready to go! As you shoot, your photos will be automatically transferred to the mobile app and uploaded to the cloud.

Troubleshooting

iOS 18 and later

If you have connected your camera but the mobile app doesn’t detect it, start by checking the connection.

To do that, open the default iOS Photos app.

If your camera is connected, you will see it under Devices.

If you do not see the camera, try testing with a different cable.
