Tether With an iPhone

With Honcho, you can tether your camera with an iPhone, and upload photos from camera to cloud.

Start by connecting the camera to your iPhone with a cable.

The USB-C port was introduced to the iPhone 15. If you’re using that model or newer models, you can use a USB cable.

Models that are older than iPhone 15 come with the Lightning port. We recommend using a USB cable, and an adaptor to convert from USB to Lightning.

The mobile app will automatically detect your camera when it’s connected, and you’ll see it in the camera toolbar.

You’re ready to go! As you shoot, your photos will be automatically transferred to the mobile app and uploaded to the cloud.

Troubleshooting

If you have connected your camera but the mobile app doesn’t detect it, start by checking the connection.

To do that, open the default iOS Photos app.

If your camera is connected, you will see the Import tab.

If you do not see the Import tab, try testing with a different cable. 

We recommend using a USB cable and an adaptor to convert from USB to Lightning, if required. Multiple users have encountered issues with Lightning cables and are unable to get a connection.
